Morris & CoMorris & Co Duvet Cover Sets: Your essential buying guide
A duvet cover set usually includes one duvet cover and one or two matching pillowcases, depending on the bed size and product specification. Always check the set contents before comparing, as single sets often include one pillowcase while larger sizes commonly include two.
Choose the set that matches your duvet size, such as single, double, king or super king. If your duvet is a different size from your mattress, match the cover to the duvet rather than the bed frame.
Cotton is popular for a breathable, natural feel, while polycotton is often chosen for easy care and quicker drying. Brushed cotton or flannelette can feel warmer in colder months, and satin-effect or textured finishes may be selected for a more decorative look.
Yes, patterned sets can be practical as well as decorative, especially if the fabric is machine washable and suits your usual care routine. Reversible designs can also give you two looks in one set, which is useful for changing the style of your bedroom without buying multiple covers.
Compare the size, fabric composition, pillowcase quantity, fastening type, washing instructions and overall design. It is also worth checking whether the finish suits your preference, such as crisp, soft, smooth, cosy or low-maintenance.
Duvet cover sets can change both the look and feel of your bedroom, so it is worth comparing more than colour alone. Size, fabric, finish and care instructions all affect how the set performs day to day.
Match the cover to your duvet size, not just your mattress size. A double duvet needs a double duvet cover, while king and super king duvets require their own larger covers for a proper fit.
Check what is included in the set before you compare. Some sets include one pillowcase, while others include two, and decorative cushion covers or extra pillowcases are not always part of the bundle.
Cotton duvet cover sets are often chosen for a breathable feel, while polycotton blends can be a practical option if you want bedding that is easy to wash and dry. If you prefer a warmer touch, brushed cotton-style finishes may feel cosier during colder nights.
Look at the care label details when comparing options. Machine washable sets are convenient for regular use, while some textured or embellished designs may need more careful laundering.
Plain duvet cover sets work well if you like a calm, minimal bedroom or want bedding that can be styled with different throws and cushions. White, cream, grey and neutral shades are especially versatile.
Patterned, floral, striped or geometric sets can create a stronger focal point. Reversible duvet cover sets are useful if you want to switch between two looks without storing a second full set.
Button, popper and zip fastenings all do the same basic job, but some shoppers find certain closures easier to use than others. If you change bedding frequently, the fastening style may be worth checking before you decide.
Also consider how the fabric feels against the skin, whether it creases easily and how it will fit into your laundry routine. A duvet cover set that looks good and is simple to maintain is often the most practical choice for everyday bedding.
A duvet cover set is only one part of the bed, so it helps to think about how it will work with your sheets, pillows and extra layers. Coordinating colours and compatible textures can make the whole bed feel more put together.
If you are refreshing more than the duvet cover, browsing related bedding can help you plan a complete update while keeping the duvet cover set as the main style feature.
